Nov 19, 2024 · While I'm waiting for the sim to start, I checked the DLSS versions that come with the sim: GPU-Z scans for all DLSS .dll files on my system. These are located in the \Content folders for both sims. I've updated MSFS2020 to the latest versions. Interestingly, the "regular" .dll file for MSFS2024 is 2.4.12. That dates back to August 2022.

Jan 7, 2025 · Frame gen and DLSS always looks bad to me, my eyes always catch the imperfections, and now we're dealing with multi frame gen. Even more AI generated frames, even more of a chance for artifacting and shit being fucked and perceptible visual errors.

Jan 7, 2025 · DLSS cost increases as the internal resolution goes down. 1080p to 4K utilizes more of the tensor cores than 1440p to 4k. The reason we still see a big performance jump with the 1080p base resolution is because tensor utilization is still below 100%.

Oct 19, 2024 · DLSS does look better but the difference is much smaller than i thought. The fact that PSSR in its first iteration can go up against DLSS is impressive and things will only get better. Also curious to see how fast AI upscaling can improve when it's only on a single set of hardware.

Nov 25, 2024 · DLSS is must in VR 2024. The G1000 screens will be softer with DLSS but performance issues are greatly improved. I posted here because I do believe that even in 2D, and not just VR, DLSS will cover a multitude of the new 2024's sins. Softness can be slightly improved using swapper. Most of this is not just for VR.
