The Washington Nationals put an exclamation point on an encouraging month of May, scoring 10 runs in the first inning during an 11-7 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Saturday night.

Last night was an offensive thriller for the Nats, who scored nine runs for a third straight game. Both James Wood and Josh Bell have homered in all three of those games. Those guys will look to stay hot in the second game of a three game set against the Diamondbacks.
