The New England Patriots new defensive coordinator is recovering after recently suffering what he deemed to be an “eye-opening medical situation.”

FOXBOROUGH — Patriots defensive coordinator Terrell Williams was not present Friday for the team’s rookie minicamp at Gillette Stadium because he is “working through a medical condition,” coach Mike Vrabel said.

"I'm working remotely right now," Williams said, via Reiss. "Hopefully I'll be able to get back soon and just be in the building and be around everyone ... I'll just say right now that I'm doing OK and I appreciate all the prayers from everybody."
