Officials in Orange County will give an update Tuesday morning after protests broke out overnight following an unspecified number of ICE raids in Santa Ana on Monday.

Roughly 300 people gathered in Orange County Wednesday outside a federal courthouse in Santa Ana protesting ongoing immigration raids.

Santa Ana continues to see protests against a recent spate of federal immigration crackdowns as residents grapple with deportation fears.

As anti-deportation protests spread across California Monday, several people were arrested near the Santa Ana Federal Building Monday.

At least 10 people were arrested after a protest against immigration raids in Orange County Monday turned chaotic and led to police declaring an unlawful assembly.

During a news conference, U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli called the alleged attacks "vicious," and accused the men of escalating the events of anti-ICE protests that took place in Paramount, downtown L.A. and Santa Ana.

Congressman Lou Correa, who represents Santa Ana, Fullerton, Anaheim and other parts of Orange County, said during a news conference that “everything was fine” until the federal government entered his community on Monday.

Several business owners in Santa Ana told Eyewitness News they were down to less than 10% of their usual sales since Monday, with customers staying home in fear.
