Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky raised the stakes ahead of a potential meeting with Vladimir Putin in Turkey on Thursday by saying he wouldn’t hold talks with any Russian representative other than the president himself.

President Donald Trump said he might take a detour during his Mideast trip to visit Turkey for peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine that are expected to take place later this week.

Ukraine's foreign minister Andrii Sybiha and his German and Polish counterparts were also on the call, according to the readout.
