Times Square Arts installed a new statue of a 12-foot-tall Black woman in casual clothing, juxtaposing it against the permanent monuments of a chaplain and playwright.

A new bronze statue, 'Grounded in the Stars', is unveiled in Times Square. Thomas J. Price, a British artist, created the statue. It depicts a Black woman. The statue aims to challenge traditional monuments.
