Ruben Amorim has said Manchester United "need to help" Bruno Fernandes win trophies after the Portuguese midfielder scored a hat trick to earn a place in the last eight of the Europa League.

It was a Portuguese men-of-four as Man United beat Real Sociedad 4-1 through a Bruno Fernandes hat-trick and a goal from Diogo Dalot.

Ruben Amorim has said it is up to the players called “overpaid” and “not good enough” by Sir Jim Ratcliffe to prove the Manchester United co-owner wrong. The United head coach implied those singled out by Ratcliffe could have few complaints, and named Casemiro as one player who can perform “so much better”.
