Two horses died Tuesday in a crash in Eddington, Maine, officials said. A report of the crash on Route 9 came to the Penobscot Regional Communications Center at 2 p.m., according to a statement from the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office.

A Maine woman has been arrested for arson after a house fire on Tuesday, the state fire marshal said Wednesday.
