A Connecticut woman was arrested Wednesday after allegedly holding her stepson captive for 20 years, according to police. Waterbury police said they arrested 56-year-old Kimberly Sullivan after an investigation into abuse claims her 32-year-old stepson made to firefighters at her home last month.

Sullivan was evacuated safely from the home. But a second resident, a 32-year-old man identified as Sullivan's stepson, suffered smoke inhalation and fire exposure. He had to be assisted out of the home, the release said.
