The 28-year-old WNBA star called the allegations “untrue and extremely hurtful” in a statement posted to her social media on Wednesday.

ESPN reported the Phoenix Suns are being sued by a current employee for discrimination, harassment and retaliation.

Gene Traylor, a Suns employee, alleges that his reports of security issues the team was facing led to him being targeted and demoted in a new lawsuit.

Once again, the NBA’s biggest circus, the Phoenix Suns, is in the news for all the wrong reasons. On Tuesday, May 13, 2025, a current employee sued the team in U.S. District Court in Arizona. According to ESPN,

A current employee for the Phoenix Suns has sued the team, alleging discrimination, harassment based on race and unlawful retaliation.

Traylor isn't the only Suns employee, past or present, to levy allegations of discrimination towards the Ishbia-led side. In April, a Hispanic woman, identified in her complaint as Jane Doe, launched a lawsuit against Phoenix accusing the organization of retaliation and fostering a hostile work environment.
