After more than a quarter century of thrills and fun, Six Flags America and Hurricane Harbor in the Maryland suburbs of Washington, D.C., will close at the end of this season.

Six Flags America in Bowie, Maryland, is closing this year after its owner determined it was "not a strategic fit with the company’s long-term growth plan."

As part of our comprehensive review of our park portfolio, we have determined that Six Flags America and Hurricane Harbor are not a strategic fit with the company’s long-term
