NJ fire updates: Ocean Township man charged with arson in Jones Road wildfire
Joseph Kling, 19, was charged with aggravated arson and arson in connection with the wildfire that started in Waretown on Tuesday, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer, New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection Commissioner Shawn M. LaTourette and Ocean Township Chief of Police Michal Rogalski said.
The fire spread quickly and destroyed buildings and vehicles after authorities said a bonfire was improperly extinguished.
The warning issued by the National Weather Service runs from 11 a.m.to 7 p.m. and covers all of South Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania.
