The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Friday it is in constant contact with Nepali nationals, including students, in Pakistan as tensions rise between India and Pakistan.

Pakistan, India have been clashing since India struck multiple locations in Pakistan on Wednesday that it said were “terrorist camps”, in retaliation for a deadly attack on Hindu tourists in Indian Illegally Occupied Kashmir (IIOJK) last month.

Deputy Inspector General of the Armed Police Force, Nepal (Chhinnamasta Barrack), Krishna Dhakal, stated that individuals crossing the border are being questioned regarding their identity and destination. Likewise, Deputy Superintendent of Police Pramod Raya, stationed at the Jatahi point, said, "We have increased security surveillance."
