The BriefKing County Metro announced it would reopen four bus stops in Seattle’s Little Saigon neighborhood following a suspension over "frequent illegal activity."Metro Transit Police say the bus stops will now have enhanced cleaning and an increased law enforcement presence.

On Dec. 16, King County Metro suspended bus services on 12th Avenue South and South Jackson Street, because of safety concerns from both operators and riders. This temporary closure has lasted nearly two months, leaving many who depend on these bus routes to cope with the ongoing effects of this choice.

The King County Sheriff's Office says two people were injured on a bus Monday. They were taken to the hospital, one with life-threatening gunshot wounds.

The Seattle City Council Transportation Committee is holding a press conference Tuesday morning to discuss safety on public transit following two recent incidents, including bus driver being stabbed to death while on the job,

King County Metro said law enforcement had worked to address crowding and crime around the stops closed late last year in the Chinatown International District.
