The out-of-town visitor sat at a Megabucks slot machine at the Virgin River Casino & Lodge in Mesquite, the casino said in a release. The player then bet $5 on the machine, hit spin and watched as the symbols flashed across the screen.

A lucky player left Mesquite, Nevada over the holiday weekend a multi-millionaire. The player turned a $5 bet into a nearly $12.4 million jackpot at Virgin River Casino & Lodge on Sunday, Feb. 16, according to a spokesperson.

A player went to Binion’s Gambling Hall & Hotel in downtown Las Vegas, bet $1.50 on a machine and won more than $11,000. Then another gambler won approximately $16,585 at Boulder Station Hotel & Casino. This visitor bet $2.25 on a Buffalo Gold Revolution slot machine.
