The Athletic's Dianna Russini reported that Metcalf was looking for a "more stable quarterback situation" before the Seahawks traded Smith to the Raiders. The team could meet with him to discuss their plans in hopes of still reaching an agreement on a new contract.
The New York Jets are making over their offense under new head coach Aaron Glenn but it does not appear that DK Metcalf has interest in being part of it. The Pro Bowl receiver has requested that the Seattle Seahawks trade him this offseason. The Seahawks have already gone and traded quarterback Geno Smith to the Las Vegas Raiders.

Russini reported that the Seahawks were seeking a first- and a third-round pick in exchange for Metcalf, an admittedly high price to pay for an aging wideout. For reference, that’s roughly what the Eagles gave up for A.J. Brown in 2022. Metcalf is also reportedly seeking a contract extension worth around $30 million per season.
