A congressional panel, which Gaetz is now suing, also found that the former representative violated its rules around prostitution and illicit drug use.
The attorney for two women who testified to the House Ethics Committee against Gaetz said they're relieved by his withdrawal.
"I just never did the dig to find out his actual degree," Markwayne Mullin said on Sunday about his former colleague.
