Research by the charity English Heritage suggests it may have found a portrait of England's shortest-reigning queen Lady Jane Grey.

Researchers believe they may have identified the only known portrait of Lady Jane Grey, the so-called “Nine Days Queen,” painted before her death.

New research from English Heritage and the Courtauld Institute of Art has provided “compelling evidence in favour of confirming” that a mysterious portrait depicts the “nine-day queen”.
