A massive crash on the last lap of the Daytona 500 allowed William Byron to sneak by for his second straight win in the Great American Race. Byron was outside the top five on the final lap but narrowly escaped a crash that took out race leaders Austin Cindric,
William Byron won his second straight Daytona 500 after a last-lap wreck took out race leader Denny Hamlin on the backstretch. Byron took over the lead when Hamlin went spinning after taking the lead from Austin Cindric on the backstretch on the final lap of a green-white-checker restart.
Austin Cindric led in his Team Penske Ford before he and William Byron, the Daytona 500 winner last week, wrecked with three laps remaining, setting up the overtime.
Ambetter Health 400 at Atlanta Motor Speedway, beating Kyle Larson and Carson Hocevar in overtime after the caution came out on the final lap. The race was sent into overtime after Austin Cindric and William Byron tangled on the backstretch with four laps to go.
