The season's first Subway Series between the New York Yankees and New York Mets was unsurprisingly centered on one player: Juan Soto.

Although Soto said he was ready for the homecoming, he was shell shocked by the time Sunday night rolled around. Three sell-out crowds broke him. With only one hit in the Subway Series, Soto couldn’t have picked a worse time to slump. The army of Yankees loyalists crowned him as the new Jose Altuve.

Soto generating more boos than RBI (zero) during a three-game series at the Yankees did little to quiet chatter about how he is and/or isn't fitting in with the Mets this spring.
