Demi Moore continued her strong awards season run for “The Substance” by taking home the SAG Award for outstanding performance by a female actor in a lead role. The victory was Moore’s third among the major Oscar precursor ceremonies.

The star took the stage and gave an acceptance speech centered on her decades-long journey as an actor and how her fellow SAG-AFTRA members shaped her life.

A halo of side-swept bangs, the white shade of her Dior gown and an absence of makeup gave the actress, a star of “The Last Showgirl,” an air of purity on the carpet. A single caped sleeve, which evoked an angel’s wing, was another heavenly detail.

Hosted by Kristen Bell, tonight’s ceremony, held at the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall in Los Angeles, will award prizes across 15 categories. Since the actors are the largest voting body for the Academy Awards, the 31st annual SAG Awards could give major insights into what to expect from next Sunday’s 97th Oscars ceremony.
