AN alligator that appeared in numerous television shows and films over about three decades, most notably the 1996 Adam Sandler golf comedy Happy Gilmore, has died at a gator farm in southern Colorado.

Farm owner and operator Jay Young didn't know exactly how old the gator was, but from Morris's growth rate and tooth loss over the years, he had estimated Morris to be over 80 years old with the possibility of him being 90 or 100 years old when he died.

Adam Sandler said goodbye to Morris, the famous alligator in “Happy Gilmore,” who retired in Colorado and died of old age over the weekend.
