Even as protests against raids by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement stretched into a fourth day Monday in Los Angeles, city workers began a cleanup of graffiti and other weekend damage across the city.
The outburst of public dissent occurred over the weekend after ICE began raids across Los Angeles. ICE said on Saturday that its “operations in LA this week” had resulted in 118 arrests of immigrants in Southern California.
The Boston protest was one of many across the country in support of David Huerta, president of the California SEIU, who was detained by federal officials in Los Angeles on Friday.
