Brazil's government has asked China to restrict its embargo on chicken imports to products just from the city of Montenegro, where the South American country last week registered an outbreak of bird flu on a commercial farm,

China, a major consumer of Brazilian poultry, immediately suspended imports after the country reported a bird flu outbreak last week.

Brazil is still analyzing a new suspected case of bird flu on a commercial poultry farm, raising concerns the deadly virus may be spreading in the world’s largest chicken exporter.
