The U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives sent an alert to federally licensed firearms dealers a day after the shooting seeking information related to any gun purchases by Michelle Jacqueline Zajko.

A woman has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of US Border Patrol agent earlier this week on a highway in Vermont close to the US-Canadian border, the FBI office in Albany said Friday.

On February 28, 1993, a team of federal agents launched an assault on the premises of a religious community called Mount Carmel, outside Waco, Texas. The community was occupied by a sect called the Branch Davidians, who were led by a man named David Koresh. The raid resulted in a shootout in which four federal agents and six Davidians were killed.

Agent David “Chris” Maland died in a shooting following a traffic stop, the FBI said. A second person killed in the incident was a German national in the country on a current visa, authorities said.
