The Pittsburgh Steelers are stuck in the middle of NFL purgatory. The team is just barely good enough to be on the fringe of the playoffs year in and year out, but the group never has any real chance of competing.

Roethlisberger noted on his podcast that there is a power imbalance with head coach Mike Tomlin and general manager Omar Khan with Tomlin holding the final say in roster decisions. Perhaps beyond what is typically the case with other teams.

Cleveland Browns quarterback Jameis Winston, who is on a media tour at Super Bowl week, says he would love to play for the Pittsburgh Steelers if that opportunity presented itself. Winston has said the same thing about multiple places, including the New York Giants, but the Steelers present an opportunity with only one quarterback under contract.

Tomlin's Steelers haven't recorded a postseason win since the 2016 campaign. Without directly saying so, Kinkhabwala hinted the one-time Super Bowl champion head coach hasn't adequately adapted to what the NFL is today compared to where the league was roughly 10 years ago.

Mike Tomlin remains at the helm of the Pittsburgh Steelers, but his future is uncertain. Andy Reid has already walked this path and left a blueprint to follow.

There could be a bidding war for Justin Fields' service this off-season and the Steelers will be hard pressed to keep him.
