Still working to draw more interest, the WNBA has heavily marketed young talent such as Bueckers, Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese to carry their star power over from college. But if the Wings’ home opener was any indication, that’s not something that happens overnight.

Less than a minute into the Dallas Wings ' 99-84 opening night loss to the Minnesota Lynx, Paige Bueckers drove into the lane and put up a runner. It didn't go down, but she stuck with it and grabbed the offensive rebound in traffic. Her putback a few seconds later hit the glass and nestled into the net.

The Dallas Wings are set to start the 2025 WNBA season. Paige Bueckers and the rest of the team will be in action beginning Friday against the Lynx.
