A massive law enforcement operation is ongoing as authorities search for Vance Boelter, the 57-year-old man suspected of the politically-motivated killing of Minnesota Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband,

The authorities Sunday issued an alert across Minnesota's Sibley County after they found what they called suspect Vance Luther Boelter's car after he killed state Rep Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark Hortman.

Minnesota shooter Vance Luther Boelter targeted Minnesota senator John Hoffman and his wife, Yvette, who shielded their daughter during the attack.

The wife of Vance Boelter, who is suspected in the Minnesota lawmaker shootings, was in a vehicle that was pulled over by law enforcement on Saturday. Passports and cash were found in the vehicle.

Boelter had also been a member of the Governor's Workforce Development Council in 2016 during the administration of then-Governor Mark Dayton.
