The NFL playoffs are upon us, which means Super Bowl LIX is just a few weeks away. Fourteen teams remain alive after they battled for months to make the playoffs and are set to embark on a month-long sprint to try and earn a berth in New Orleans and hoist the Lombardi Trophy.

While the regular season suggests a Detroit Lions-Kansas City Chiefs clash for Super Bowl 59, everyone is vulnerable -- especially in a league where a dozen teams have to fight their way up from the Wild Card round.

The Lions and Chiefs are in a tier of their own odds-wise, thanks to their 15-win seasons and accordant first-round byes. But both have nagging concerns that, if you squint hard enough, begin to look a lot like vulnerabilities. Will any of their potential opponents through the postseason be able to capitalize on those vulnerabilities?

In many ways, the start of the NFL playoffs is similar to the first week of the regular season. There's a feeling of newness in the air, along with the optimism from fan bases that this might be the year when something special takes place.
