Preakness Stakes featured a field of nine horses competing on a dirt track at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore for a distance of 1 3/16 miles, all vying for the prestigious Middle Jewel title.

With a day full of races, Saturday marked the last running of the Preakness Stakes at historic Pimlico, which will undergo major renovations set to be completed in time for the 2027 race.

Radical Right led out of the gate and around the first turn before Augusta Melody took control approaching the final stretch and secured the day’s first win, finishing in 1 minute, 10.76 seconds. Jockeyed by Irad Ortiz Jr., the heavy favorite paid out $3.80 on a $2 bet to win, $2.80 on a $2 bet to place and $2.40 on a $2 bet to show.
