It's official – Marvel Comics ' upcoming New Thunderbolts* series has been retitled New Avengers after Marvel Studios changed the Thunderbolts* film title to reveal the meaning of its mysterious asterisk.

Thunderbolts, aka New Avengers, dominated the box office during the May 9-11 weekend, earning $33.1 million in its second outing. Ticket sales for Disney's Marvel movie dropped just 55 percent from its $74 million opening,
