The SEC's top four seeds lived up to the hype in the quarterfinals of the SEC Tournament on Friday at Bridgestone Arena as each advanced to create a semifinal slugfest on Saturday between squads that can all be regarded as national championship contenders.

There’s always at least one supposed little guy leading into every NCAA men’s basketball tournament, a team whose selection or exclusion is a source of joy or outrage among those who don’t get excited by the 14th team out of the SEC earning an at-large berth.

Creighton has turned into one of the best basketball programs in the Big East since it joined the league ahead of the 2013-14 campaign, but it has never won the Big East Tournament. That can change in less than 24 hours after Creighton outlasted UConn in Friday's second semifinal bout.

We are officially done with regular-season college basketball and have reached the postseason. Each conference tournament is underway or auto-bids have already been given out. Even just typing out “auto-bids” is giving me goosebumps.
