The Karen Read trial continued on Monday as the defense called witnesses for a second day inside Norfolk Superior Court in Dedham, Massachusetts.

The judge in the Karen Read trial will allow into evidence damaging text messages from the fired lead investigator, Michael Proctor, who worked for the Massachusetts State Police. Judge Beverly Cannone made the ruling Monday morning before jurors entered the courtroom over the objections of Norfolk County prosecutors.
