The WWE Women's Intercontinental Championship will get the spotlight at "Backlash," as champion Lyra Valkyria will look to thwart the challenge of her former mentor, Becky Lynch. Valkyria was betrayed by Lynch after the pair's one-day reign with the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship came to an end.

This show marks the final Backlash for John Cena, who is calling it quits at the end of the year. He'll main event Backlash against a longtime rival.

I don’t want to get myself in trouble here by pulling a Bobby Heenan and prematurely bragging a little too aggressively, but historically, Backlash is the easiest PLE on WWE’s entire calendar to predict.
