While Morant led the charge, rookie guard Cam Spencer stole the spotlight with his fiery moment against Kevin Durant. After draining a three-pointer over the Suns star, Spencer appeared to exchange words with Durant, leading to an intense on-court altercation.

When Jackson was in foul trouble in the last meeting between the Grizzlies and Suns, it was Santi Aldama who stepped up in his place. Aldama is also out for the game due to a right calf strain. Luke Kennard is sidelined to low back soreness.
