A large number of dying and dead Canada geese in Vernon Bridge, P.E.I., were likely sick with avian flu, says a veterinarian with the Canadian Wildlife Health Cooperative.

OGUNQUIT, Maine — Approximately 20 dead geese have been found on Ogunquit Beach, town officials notified residents on its website on Thursday. The discovery follows another local one, earlier this week, when five dead ducks were found on Short Sands Beach in York.
