The tech giant will offer a voluntary exit program to U.S.-based, full-time employees in its human relations unit known as People Operations, beginning in early March, the report added, citing a memo issued by HR chief Fiona Cicconi.

During a swathe of post-pandemic job cuts made by big tech companies, Alphabet announced plans to lay off 6% of its workforce in January 2023 – a figure representing around 12,000 individuals.
