We’re keeping a very close eye on a growing threat for strong to severe thunderstorms rolling through Kentucky in the coming days.

Smoke and fog spreads around the Northland this morning, but by the afternoon the region will be seeing severe and strong storms.

Central Indiana faces the threat of severe thunderstorms with potential for damaging winds, hail, and tornadoes, as per the National Weather Service.

Storms are expected to fire up around 3 to 5 p.m. just off to our west. More storms are anticipated to develop along a broken line as they move through southeastern Wisconsin between 5 and 8 p.m. All types of severe weather are possible, including very large hail and the risk for a few tornadoes.

The first round will be isolated in the morning to mainly the northwestern portions of the area. Many of us are going to stay dry during the afternoon but the second wave of severe weather will be more widespread and occur mostly later in the day and early into the overnight.
