The Air India flight fell from the sky on Thursday and killed at least 270 people in Gujarat state, officials said Saturday.

The Air India Flight 171 crash in Ahmedabad, which claimed 241 lives, may lead to one of the largest aviation insurance payouts in history—estimated at $475 million. Experts warn the disaster could drive up aviation insurance premiums and impact global reinsurers.

On June 16, Iran and Israel exchanged missile fire for the fourth day after Israel struck several targets in Iran targeting its nuclear facilities and military a couple days earlier. Investigators have now recovered the cockpit voice recorder from last week’s devastating Air India crash and will analyse the pilots’ final words to help determine what caused the disaster that killed more than 270 people.

At least 270 died when the Air India flight crashed into the campus of a medical college in Ahmedabad shortly after takeoff on Thursday. Only one passenger among the 242 aboard survived. At least 29 others on the ground, including five medical students inside the hostel, were also killed.
